Our history

The Hotel Saigerhöh was built in 1956 – initially as a small house with only 16 guest rooms. With passion, vision, and genuine Black Forest hospitality, it has developed over the decades into a place of relaxation and inspiration.
Early on, the founding family recognized that guests were looking for more than just accommodation: they were looking for a place to breathe deeply. So the hotel was continuously expanded, modernized, and lovingly designed—always in harmony with its unique surroundings.

In the 1970s, the hotel caused a sensation with its own indoor tennis court —one of the first of its kind in Germany, inaugurated by the German Davis Cup team. This was later followed by the light-filled panoramic restaurant, the cozy wine bar, the fireplace lounge, and a spacious wellness and spa area, which turned the hotel into a retreat for body and soul.

Today, the four-star superior hotel is run by the third generation of the family. The combination of tradition, family warmth, and contemporary comfort makes the Saigerhöh a place where history remains alive and the future is shaped.
